Hotel Vegas 10/9/2017
Austin itself is a city I consider to always have something going on what ever you're into what ever night of the week, even on a Monday. But unfortunately for me the world uses this night traditionally to re-set the week an recoup to spill skull on the the next weeks end. So of course you could imagine my surprise at the line up, on a Monday night no less and to more of a treat to have The Rotten Mangos on the bill. Friends, peers, acquaintances, these boys are The Legit. Much like Ramiros (vocals/guitar) face, you can't help but to smile along too. They're really anchored in the simple big idea lofty pop psych though just as a home base and launch pad for more lofty space exploration complete with tape pop n' warble. Check em' out! Levitation Room, very similar, not to compare the two explicitly but who ever booked the night knew whats up. They have the airy little voice vocals that are synonymous with the sounds of a proper freak out and feel like the hot air under the wings of a dope ass time in some beach / desert daydream that only exists in the sky. For sure Check em' Out.
