Aircraft Graveyard
Returning back Phoenix from Austin I decided to take a much more direct route up i10 passing through Tuscan. I remember hearing about the Graveyard from a Air Force pilot I photographed a bit back. Apparently this yard in particular ranks in as the largest in the world. Its an absolutely massive area with thousands of decommissioned craft sprawling out over the grounds. The yard is part of the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base which is an active military installation along with all the appropriate gates and fencing making sneaking in a good way to get severely jammed up. Fortunately, while taking a lap around the perimeter I found a gate left open leading into a much older portion of the Yard. Here's a few photos from my visit.
