The birth, the crumbles

The rock is a warm shade of earthy red, smooth but brittle, soaked in a daily light & on occasion washed in a cool rain. Large looming walls extend up shading the canyon floor, a reprieve from the desert sun with an attitude that creates contrast. My mind is snapped back when a faint cracking & crumbling breaks the silence. Further up the canyon part of the wall sheds unwanted layers. I look at the ground, & at the rocks, & understand where they came from, & now, how unsettling it is to walk in the Colossus’ shadow.

" E s C a P e"

We finally were able to evade detection by using the machines own insecurities against itself. Quietly shuffling along the desert floor with the heavy reflective mirrors balanced on our heads we were able to disgust the sentinel with a view of itself… There was a brief period of accomplishment but was immediately followed by the terrifying realization that we are now much further into the DUST realm than anticipated and every second counted against our time.
